Rutland House Community Trust
Residential, supported living and domiciliary care for adults with physical and learning disabilities and the elderly.

Willowbrook is a registered residential service for adults with learning disabilities run by Rutland House Community Trust in Oakham, Rutland.

Willowbrook was purpose built and first opened its doors in May 1995 providing 10 individual bedrooms. We are within walking distance of the town centre and we are placed on the main bus route. There is a newsagent within 100 yards of the driveway and a public house a little further on.

Our service is a non-institutional family style home where the residents are at the heart of everything we do. Care is delivered according to the individuals assessed needs and in line with their person centred plan (P.C.P). All accommodation is wheelchair accessible and has various hoists available. The lounge at Willowbrook is large and spacious with plenty of room to enjoy a meal, carryout activities, welcome travelling theatre companies, musicians or even travelling zoos! or of course, just to relax. In addition to the lounge we have a ‘quiet room’ which is cosy and well-furnished for residents who would perhaps like some peace and quiet, receive visitors in private, or to simply watch a different TV channel.

We also have a landscaped garden with a summer house and barbeque area for the long summer days and a mini bus fitted with a hydraulic lift and an adapted car for trips out and about.
